Tips for Making a Perfect Smoothie

 

  1. Blend until smooth:  This smoothie must be blended sufficiently to ensure the frozen strawberries are completely pulverized and the smoothie has a smooth texture.
  2. Serve immediately: This smoothie should be served immediately after making it.  If it is stored for too long the flavour and texture will change.

Q:  Can I substitute the fresh banana in this recipe for frozen?

A:   Not unless the frozen banana is thawed first.  Using a frozen banana in this recipe will make the smoothie too thick and it will be difficult to blend.

1/2 cup orange juice (Tropicana brand)

1 cup frozen sliced strawberries

  1. In the container of a blender add all of the ingredients.  Blend on high speed until smooth.  Serve immediately.
